Analisis Peran Kewirausahaan dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat di Kabupaten Bantaeng

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector as a main economic pillar, amidst the challenges of limited employment opportunities and fulfilling public living needs in Bantaeng Regency. This study aims to determine and analyze the role of entrepreneurship in improving community welfare in Bantaeng Regency. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach through field research. The informants in this study were MSME actors and local residents in Tappanjeng Village, Bantaeng District, Bantaeng Regency, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected comprehensively through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, covering both primary and secondary data sources. Data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the presence of entrepreneurial activities in Tappanjeng Village is proven to be an economic draw that significantly enhances community welfare, creates financial independence, and helps fulfill daily family needs. Specifically, the roles of entrepreneurship include: 1) opening new job opportunities for local communities, 2) encouraging more inclusive and equitable community economic conditions, 3) driving the local economy post-crisis, and 4) ensuring the continuous fulfillment of basic living needs. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance of regulatory support, easier access to capital, and sustainable business training programs from the local government for MSME actors to expand the positive impacts of employment absorption and poverty alleviation in Bantaeng Regency.
