This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA guideline to synthesize empirical evidence on the influence of tax literacy, tax socialization, and tax morale on micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) tax compliance. Literature was searched through Scopus, Google Scholar, and Garuda/Sinta, supplemented by manual reference tracking, yielding 231 initial records. After duplicate removal and title-abstract screening, 13 full-text articles were assessed for eligibility, and 10 articles published between 2021 and 2026 were included in the synthesis. The results show that tax literacy is predominantly positively and significantly associated with MSME tax compliance across most included studies, while tax socialization shows mixed findings, with the majority of studies reporting no significant direct effect. Tax morale, examined in only two studies, consistently shows a positive and significant relationship, though the evidence base remains limited. These findings indicate that the effect of the three variables on MSME tax compliance is not yet fully consistent, suggesting the need for further primary research, particularly on tax morale and the contextual conditions under which tax socialization is effective.
