Pengaruh Inflasi dan Suku Bunga terhadap Indeks Harga Konsumen di Kota Lhokseumawe

This research is motivated by fluctuations in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), inflation, and interest rates that occurred in Lhokseumawe City during the 2019–2024 period. Changes in the CPI reflect the dynamics of prices of goods and services consumed by the public and are influenced by various macroeconomic factors. This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation and interest rates on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Lhokseumawe City, both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data in the form of monthly data on inflation, interest rates, and CPI for the 2019–2024 period obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bank Indonesia. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS program. Hypothesis testing is carried out through the t test, F test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results of the study indicate that inflation has a negative and insignificant effect on the CPI with a regression coefficient of -0.796 and a significance value of 0.699. Meanwhile, interest rates have a positive and significant effect on the CPI, with a regression coefficient of 3.279 and a significance value of 0.002. Simultaneously, inflation and interest rates significantly influence the CPI, with an F-value of 5.445 and a significance value of 0.006. The coefficient of determination of 13.6% indicates that variations in the CPI can be explained by inflation and interest rates, while the remainder is influenced by other factors outside the study.
